What's this coin and why I cannot find anything that looks similar to these? Like if it is fake what's the purpose, and if it is not why I cannot find it any info about it?

Hi, I'm Theo. I'm new to this hobby, not a serius collector. I'm here to  the fullfill the wishes of the kid me who loved coins and I want to use coins to learn new things about cultures of the world and maybe share what I learned with my friends.

It’s without doubt a fake with that portrait being a dead giveaway.  Besides, the legend is all wrong too. It was probably made well after the 1950s
here’s what the Real portrait would have looked like. As to who made it, maybe someone else can answer that

Thanks a lot, also does the design on the reverse ever been used in any other coins or is it made up too?

So the coin is definitely a fake - Edward VIII only reigned from 1936 (specifically Jan 20th - Dec 10th) - so 1937 was the reign of George VI.

Interestingly, it doesn't use the actual portrait of Edward VIII that had been designed but never used (excepting on a handful of test pieces). You can see that on the picture from Ashlobo - that's one of the official pattern pieces.

The reverse of the coin carries a stylised version UK's Coat of Arms (Specifically an “English” variant - you can tell because inside the central Royal Shield the top left and bottom right quarters both carry the three lions of England, as well as the supporter lion being on the left/supporter unicorn on the right - You can read more into the Coat of Arms on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_the_United_Kingdom)

Unlikely to be a relatively contemporary fake; a shilling wouldn't be worth the effort of forging. And it's not a serious reproduction for collectors, just using the date & wrong portrait tells us that.

It does look like what a coin of the era could have looked like had Edward not abdicated. Beyond the date & portrait, everything looks to be pretty much correct. It uses the contemporary inscriptions / abbreviations and in the correct order. The font looks very close to the era, even the stylised version of the Coat of Arms looks like it was made to be the 1930s representation. It even has Edward facing the left (Normally, the Monarch faces the other way to the previous Monarch so we get a left-right-left pattern, but Edward believed he looked better facing left so would've broken the tradition as he should have faced right).

I suppose I'd call it a serious fantasy coin, though it's exact reason for being created is anyone's guess. Perhaps some sort of “Alternate history” event?

It's a lovely piece all the same. I really like it.

=====

The “correct” non-stylised version of the Coat of Arms was used a few times over the years - I believe the most recent of the circulating coins with this on was in 2008: N#7385

Another “modern take” stylised version was issued in 2015: N#71494

I found this issue listed in the Krause Unusual World Coins 4th Edition 2005, near the end of the Great Britain section under the sub-heading, ‘Historic Coin Co. Ltd. Retro Issues’ on page 201:

X# 118 SHILLING
0.9250 Silver Ruler: Edward VIII Obv: Head left Obv.
Legend: EDWARDVS VIII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN REX
Rev: Crowned arms
Date                                   Mintage

1937  Proof                       3,500              Value 20.00 (assume this is USD)

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
