The Irish for Penny is spelt in two different ways on this entry – both are not correct.

Under 'Features', line five ‘Value’, how do I edit this to correct the spelling error.

There appears to be no way to edit the Value field.

You can't any longer as values became a drop down menu. So you'll have to ask administration about a change. Which you essentially did already with creating this ticket.

What is the correct spelling if not phingin (which is what Google translate gives).

Thanks.

I tried to fix even if your request was not crystal clear to me (and I know nothing in Irish language).

Let me know if other fixes are needed in all irish currencies :-)

Sorry, I was asking how to do it rather than requesting a change!

The correct plural spelling is ‘Pingine’. This needs to be corrected for the 3d coins also.

Thanks.

Grammar can be fun with google translate.
The plural is phingin for numeral 2, for other numerals 3-9 the plural is pingine.

Done, thanks

👍

I did corrections on the titles.

More reason why Irish coin denominations should be in English - as Irish-Gaelic is a dialectal language grouping.

Not in the titles, which should be in English - like the 1969-2000 decimal coins are.

We put ruling authorities in the title only when they appear directly in the coin
