Cheap.. Well.. Cheap lol I paid about £5 for the 1862 India rupee
Yeah I got my 1893 one for about NZ$15  I think that was less than the silver value at the time.  That's the thing with such a large population.  They need to mint a lot of coins so if you're a basic collector you can get things pretty cheaply
That's the thing Phil has been going on about, the silver value is dropping so they should come down in price 'cos they just aren't scarce at all !
So how much would it be for a set of 1/12 anna to 1 rupee from Victoria? (regal issue, not East India)

All depends on your grades really - I haven't seen the prices of the 1/12 Anna as I got that in VF + from numismaticroy, it varies greatly on eBay - people collect in patterns. At the moment South Africa is popular yet 2 months ago I was picking up 1/2 crowns for less than melt.
