Pretty simple really. 1981 Australian 2 cent coins were minted at three different Mints.
97,390,000 at the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
81,064,000 at the Perth Mint in Perth, Western Australia.
70,820,000at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant, Wales.
Unfortunately these three mints didn't bother to indicate in any way the origin of the coin.
However we do know how many each Mint did produce, that is on public record hence the three lines.
The Coins minted in Wales can be identified by the text on the obverse side of the coin being closer to the rim than the ones minted in Canberra or Perth.
Canberra and Perth Coins are not able to be distinguished from each other.
I hope that explains it for you. - Mike
Yes I saw the three mintages. If there is a way to determine the Wales mint coins it should be stated on the page or did I just miss it?

I just mentioned it in my reply above and have added it to the comments on the page.
