Thank you, I didn't know that a single person must do it is it per genre of coins? If so that is interesting… then again I guess it makes sense, one person for his/her specialty.

A referee is appointed for each country, or “issuer” as we say now.

You can see the ID of the referee at the bottom of the catalog page, usually.

A person who cares to volunteer their time and expertise may be a referee for several countries.

For some issuers, there is no dedicated referee. In those cases one of the Catalog Admins must review and validate each submission.
