Hello everyone, I recently came across this coin in a pile of coins. I'm having trouble identifying it correctly because it appears to have two "head" sides. If anyone can assist with identification as well as explain why the coin is like this, it would be greatly appreciated.

This should answer your question.  Welcome to Numista!

i will give it a go!

thank you very much!

I remember I had one of those years ago, the join was visible on the edge but the person who spent time making it made a careless error and used both types of Obverse, one  ending with  IND IMP and the later one without from 1949-51

it's quite sad, I got really  exited when I saw mine… let us see, maybe we might find the real deal.

A real double sided coin is called a brockage so one side is incuse and the other is normal,  see my Indian rupee brockage, there are lots of fakes but I bought this coin in the 1960's and it has the correct rim which shows a defect in part of the milling
