Hello all!
I'm a newbie and this is my first post (take it easy on me lol🖐️).
I have 3 coins graded “Circulated” by NGC and signed by “Wayne Miller”.
1896 - O Morgan Dollar
1898 - S Morgan Dollar
1899 - S Morgan Dollar
I know the coin because it has a grade by NGC but the grade is “Circulated”. Most information that I have found is that this is just a gimmick. However this one has “Wayne Miller's” Signature. I have tried researching but I have found limited information about him other than his is the king of Morgan/Peace Dollars and wrote a book on them. Specifically the availability of the coins he graded and signed. NGC gives a price of $6,000+ on the 1896-O Dollar which is cool but I believe it is giving me a price for the grade of a MS63 coin.
Could I somehow have a coin from his personal collection or one pictured in his book? I am lost on how to research this information and how to confirm it. I have contacted NGC but haven't' heard from them yet. Granted its was like Friday so its only been a couple of days.
Any information known would be cool! Thanks guys / gals!
