Hello Gurus,

None, as far as I know.
I hadn't even heard of most of those countries.
Only one I've never heard of is that Burkina or whatever lol
I'd heard of Ivory coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo.  But Benin, Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau have left me scratching my head.  Google here I come
Hm... I've heard of all of them. I even know 3 guys from Benin. We were at the University together. One of them married and stayed in Latvia, working for Foreign Affairs Ministry there. Another one is in Germany. And I have no clue where the 3rd guy is. Ivory Coast = Côte d’Ivoire

Just my 2 cents to your geography bank.  ;)
Verweis : smoked_caramelHm... I've heard of all of them.
Same. I like knowing about our planet  :)
And Burkina Faso has a cool capital: Ouagadougou

I think the only way to know this...would be to have received them in the counrty where they were circulated. They made a monetary system...so that way whatever country you were in, it would work..much like the Euro BUT I don't believe they minted differently for each country.

http://www.wbcc.fsnet.co.uk/af-was.htm - This article taught me a little something but still no way of discerning the difference.
If they were produced locally they might have distinguishing characteristics but my guess is they were produced in Europe, probably France. If this is the case then there would be no way to identify coins by country, rather like US coins struck in Denver and Philadelphia are circulated throughout all 50 states and have no difference if they are in Florida or Alaska.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
You probably couldn't be sure even if you received them in that country since a few of them share borders it's quite likely that coins would migrate from country to country.
