I can't wait for advice, I will get this camera today and take all the pictures of my collection of EURO coins. I will tell (post) about the quality of the camera later. I've never owned an actual digital camera before. 🙂

It has digital zoom, so there is no sense to buy it because of the zoom. This would have the same effect as photo without zoom with cropping after it.

If you want to make photos of small details, you can try microscope for mobile phone camera, like Apexel ms002 200x

This is right.

Or for computer. Just search usb microscope.

If interested I can show you some details I got with a very cheap one.

Hello, I visited an electronics store yesterday, but the price of this camera is a bit too high than I expected, and it has exceeded my food budget for the week, so I plan not to buy yet. The salesperson told me that if I want a camera that can focus even on a small millimeter object, I should buy a camera with extra optical zoom, because it can zoom in on more objects without losing image quality. This info makes me think i already have a magnifier glass so i'll modify it with my phone's digital camera and this is closer to the coin i see. I also got a special art coin that I want when I bought food in that mall. If I have more money, I will buy a better camera. 🙂

You are absolutely brilliant! I recently bought a very cheap knockoff digital camera, thinking it would be enough, but it turned out it sucked for close-ups, but after seeing your post I tried putting a loupe in front of the lens and it actually ended up decent :o

I used to take random photos of my coins and forget which ones needed more info or updates. Now I snap quick shots and upload them to nixplay so I can review them later on a bigger screen. It’s way easier to spot details I missed or catch errors in my notes. Plus, it keeps my collecting a bit more organized without much effort.
