Weimar coins (Freiherr vom Stein)

Hello everyone, 

I was wondering whether the 1923 coins from Weimar Republic (Freiherr vom Stein) with values of 10000 Mark, 5 million Mark and 50 million Mark were ever used in reality? 

I have tried to search on internet about this but I don't seem to be able to find the answer.

I have wondered about that too. 

My only example is fairly worn.  

How did it get so worn? Was it a pocket piece? Actually a child's toy? 

Some older german collectors told me that the bigger coins were never really in circulation and were mostly meant for collectors right from the beginning, although quite a few of them made it into circulation as collections were sold / used as regular money as times got even worse.

Generally, all of the bigger coins were mainly seen as medals/ collectors pieces
