Does anyone have proof of this coin being real circulating coin? I searched online everywhere but I can not seem to find any information regarding this type as it for me looks unlikely to be real. Can anyone give me some insight? Thanks

What coin can we have a photo please

The OP is right in his observation of a possible erroneous entry into the catalog. I could find no corroborating evidence that this coin ever existed as well.  Currently there are  only 2 sites which claim this specific 1780 existed as a circulating coin, Numista and Ucoin where both share the same photo and data. One example is not enough.

Edit -  NGC - KM 1984  with no photo

Should the listing then be removed, to stop spreading disinformation on this platform?

The coin itself looks like really bad fake of maria thereisa thaler. Or maybe contemporary counterfeit.

We don't know  for certain. Allow time for others to comment to come to some kind of consensus of what should be done. As you know, sometimes an entity will make a claim and other entities simply copy the information. I also don't see an attribution for the source of the photo provided as well as other pertinent information such as weight and diameter etc.

This type is also in the Schön DM catalog. Schön DM# 110 for the no mint mark version, Schön DM# 111 for W.

I don't currently have access to my books so I don't know if there are pictures of the types. I did note that the prices were high.

Náš katalog nic takového nezná a my jsme byli součástí monarchie. Neslyšel jsem o tom ani neslyšel. Tady je fotka katalogu s 1/4 Grejcar 1780. Vypadá takto:

And I don't like the comment: the legend is supposed to be 1/4 tailor.  And where is the legend?     We don't know about its existence, but we know exactly the average price it sells for.  It is sad:

So I solved this mystery-puzzle.  Colleagues on the left on the mountain is a piece of peeled coin.

And you can see that the coin is silver - or its imitation, which has been minted continuously for 200 years.  But the whole problem is really that I didn't have the weight and size available. It is the Levanský tolar of Maria Theresa.

Yes you are right thats what I meant by theresia thaler but I forgot its name

Jo máš pravdu, taky si myslím že jse může jednat o kopii toho slavného toliaru. Tak co urubime s tym postem?

So what will we do with the post as it seems to be a forgery of famous coin?

Go to the Numista coin catalog forum and link this thread there to allow the Master Coin Catalog Referees to review the subject. They should take appropriate action and remove or alter it.

This is not a fake.

This is an official re-minting of the famous coin.

who approved it, how can it get on our site.  This is reprehensible, irresponsible.

I linked this subject thread to the relevant forum for the referees to review and scrutinize.
