Cyprus 1 Cent 1983 on a lighter planchet? [gelöst]

Hello everybody,

I was recently looking at my Cyprus 1 Cent 1983 (N#156146) and I noticed it only wheighs 1,5g. My other 1 Cent coins all weigh 2,0g as expected. I found no reference at all for such a low weight.

The thickness of my other 1 Cent coins is around 1,35mm (as it should be), the lower weight 1 Cent has a thickness of only 1,0mm.

Anyone noticed the same with their coins from Cyprus?

Maybe Ole can weigh his?  Your coin looks like 1985 or is that just because of the lighting in the picture?

1.46 g = km53.1 (only 1983!)

the km53.2 and 53.3 coins are all around 2.00 grs!

The 1983 is lighter by half a gram!

SCWC is wrong:

I have made the corresponding CRs

So SCWC ( and hence, Numista) have it wrong.  Is 16.5 mm dia. correct?

diameter OK, 

thickness not so much! 0.95 for the 1983 and for the rest around 1.30 mm! I'll make the CR immediately!

How come there is a new page for each km-sub#, I think they could be together?

There’s a comment on the page about the difference between the three. I haven’t figured out what it means yet. 

The comments are OK, the “1” is different in the 1983 (solid).

The arms in the first two are the same, but in the 3rd it's different.

They could still be in the same page, but as such I don't really have a strong opinion about that!
