I'm a US-Canada dual citizen, so I get quite a bit of mixed coin currency in my pocket at times. Most of the modern coins in Canada are ferrous - they stick to magnets - so I keep a magnet in my pocket to keep them from jingling around and to make them easier to fetch during a transaction.
Today, I noticed a peculiar thing: a 1999 US 10 cent Roosevelt dime with a P mint mark had stuck to the magnet - meaning it's made of a ferrous material. I did some cursory Google searches to see if I could figure out if this is somehow special, but couldn't find anything relevant. Everything I'm reading indicates that this should be a copper-nickel alloy or similar, and should not be ferrous.
Anyone have any ideas? It looks like pretty much any other modern US dime.
