Die crack

Was a die crack of this magnitude common among these? This is only the 2nd I've seen. 

“These”? These what? Please be more specific about the exact coin you are inquiring about. Photos of  entire obverse and reverse is a good start. Generally speaking, many coins are released into circulation with slight defects before mint workers realize a die is failing and is at the end of it's useful life before being replaced. They are mere curiosities and add no additional value so inventories of these minor defects are not worthy of collectors interest or take note of.
