25 cent coin 1966

Good day I have this coin which appears to be a mint error due to a defective die or planchet 

What is the process to confirm this error and how does one go about selling it 

The first step I would make is post pictures in this form to get the opinions. If they think it is a mint error then take it to a professional numismatist or send it in for grading.
