Hello all,
I had from long time a 1834 1 Lepton in coin alignment, exactly as in Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces16151.html which to me is a little strange as they were struck in UK, where all coins are medal alignment.
Anyway, I got yesterday another 1 Lepton, but 1853, and to my surprise it was medal alignment! Now I did a little research and found out this: http://www.pcgs.com/pop/detail.aspx?c=1289&t=1 in PCGS population there exists this year in medal alignment. But in the Standard Catalog of World coins 1800-1900 is not mentioned this variety.
I would like some advice, mostly from collectors who has these coins, is this a common variety, if it can be called a such? Whoever has some Ionian Islands coins, please check alignment and advice.
Any feedback is highly appreciated!
