Why do some Euro coins seem to be stamped deeper than others?

I have come across it several times where 2 coins from the same year have very different appearances. For example below are two 50 cent coins from Germany 2002 J, but one has much sharper features and appears much more sharply struck. I know that wear and tear plays a roll, but I wanted to understand if there were any other potential reasons as to why it might be the case. Thank you! 😁

Different die pressures and/or die ‘mileage’, rim erosion due to circulation etc pp.
