Isle Of Man 1 Crown 1976 - possibly another variation?

The other day I bought a bunch of coins at an antiques shop. The vast majority were fine, but I felt unsure about some, so I'll be posting them here one by one…

The first mystery is this coin here:

In the same lot I bought, there was another coin, seemingly the same:

And they should both be this coin on Numista:

N#5042

However, there were some strange things…

1) Coin 1 looks much more ‘used’, whereas Coin 2 is pretty much in UNC condition… They're both supposed to be non-circulating, so it's quite interesting. Also, Coin 1 looks more ‘silvery’:

2) They're supposed to have coin alignment, however, Coin 2 has medal alignment. Numista has another variation which does have medal alignment, and it's the silver version: N#80357

However, I did the magnet test, and I believe it is not silver…

3) Talking about the magnet test, I did it on both. Coin 1 was very strongly magnetic! But, they should be both cupro-nickel?

4) Coin 1 is 2mm thick. Coin 2 is more - 3mm.

Coin 1 is around 37mm (sorry, I don't have proper callipers 😔). Coin 2 is around 38mm.

Coin 1 is noticeably lighter in weight compared to Coin 2.

Anyways, what does everyone else think? I'm pretty stumped 🤔

Hi, thanks for your message and info about coin aligment for CuNi 1976 Horse tram coin. This was evident error, should be medal aligment like all Pobjoy crowns for IOM and I just corrected it.

For your coins:

1. I'm afraid this is poor quality copy (smaller diameter - should be 38.6mm, smaller thickness - should be +/- 3mm, wrong metal - CuNi is non-magnetic, poor quality letters on obverse etc.).

2. This is CuNi coin N#5042 , it looks OK.

I see!

It's such a random and unassuming coin, I never even thought someone would bother making a copy of this. It would be less effort to just buy a real one, they're not that expensive 😂

Anyways, thank you very much for the info 🙏
