Hi

I have the coin India 1 dollar 2 rupees 8 annas coin of 1941 with reeded edge  in brilliant and good looking shape weighing about 12.33 grams

I don't know if it is a pattern coin which was never minted. I am not sure of the metal its made up of.

Can I have some clarification from your end please

Awaiting your response.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to Numista!

As you can see on the coin page that is only one of four Dollar patterns made in 1941.  Three are not in the Numista catalog. SCWC describes all four but without weights.

I'm not very familiar with these coins from this period so I'll let others answer.  There is probably more information in this catalog, Coins of the British Commonwealth of Nations to the End of the Reign of George VI which I don't have.  Perhaps the referee can help.  @SStefanov

In the meantime, you should post pictures of your coin.

The best way to start is to purchase the reference book mentioned in the first reply to your message.

Maybe you can start with showing us pictures of your coin, like rsirian1 already asked?

It's better to post clear pictures of your coin on a white background, pictures on all sides, including edge. Thanks
