Hi, cant find this here on Numista, bad shape but maybe someone can help me 😊.

And also is it just a damage or could it be a counterstrike?

Detail is quite worn but I believe it's this one: N#28392

Canada issued a bunch of tokens with Wellington on them, but this looks like the best match given the design and placing of “Wellington” or “ngton” on your token.

A counterstrike mark is possible, given the War of 1812 was still going on in 1814 when I believe your token was made, or it could've been struck after the official peace. I'm given to understand tensions were still high in the immediate aftermath, before a more cordial relationship developed between Canada/British Empire & the US in the later decades.

Yes thats the one, thanks for helping me this token.

Pitty its in bad shape, it otherwise is a beautiful coin.

Have a nice weekend

Jimmy

I think it's damage:

No problem. These tokens are often delightful to look at as they have such a wide array of topics.

They're almost like early commemoratives in some sense, what with having a national icon (e.g. Britannia, Shield of Arms) on one side and then a notable figure on the other.

Interestingly, I found it easier to recognise Wellington from the portrait, guess it was the military look. The inscription was what really sealed the deal though

Essor Prof may be right on the mark. Tbh, it's so worn if it is a counterstrike, the detail is lost. Or it could just be general damage. It is an unusual shape for counterstrike, but sometimes they were. Could be either, would lean more on damage, but couldn't rule out counterstrike.
