I've been thinking to get these for a while for my slightly more valuable silver coins. They don't seem to be all that commonly used however and I'm not about to spend my coin budget on something I'm not sure of. So, is there anyone here that has been using these and would like to share their thoughts on them?

For those of you that never heard of them, I'm talking about these:

I usually use Lindner but I don´t buy it on their website as eBay or Amazon you'll find them cheaper. I believe lighthouse is also a very good brand. I use it for all my nicer coins.

Those are also nice, but I like the one by one storage that the quadrum capsules offer, and also the 2x2 format same as flips.
Yeah, I've got one exactly like this but with black inside. I have a dozen of my precious coins in it.
Lighthouse is usually a pretty good brand for both coin and stamp supplies so you'd be pretty safe with them I would have thought.
I've always wanted a fancy display, but I can't justify spending money on supplies instead of coins  z)

I totally think like you do, this is the main reason why I'm so hesistant.
The Quadrum capsules will cost me $0.70 a piece and then there's the holder for those. Is it worth it? Or should I just go with regular round capsules at like $0.25?
I think it is worth it for the more valuable coins. I can't do that, because my prize collection (of Canadian silver dollars) is all certified by ICCS and wouldn't fit into anything

It depends on the coins.  If you've got coins that are worth $100 then $0.70 is nothing, if you're putting in coins worth $10 then $0.70 is probably a bit much.

I guess most coins that would go into these holders would be in the $10-$30 range
I personally wouldn't spend 70c on a holder for a $10 coin, that's 7% of the coins value
Maybe if it's a collection, but not if it's just a random bunch of coins

would you put a coin worth a dollar in a 2x2? same coin/holder price relation there. I see what you mean though, but then again you can always reuse the holders for more valuable coins once you get them. Damn, I really can't make my mind up about this.

I found a type of album page that fits those holders!
