Any help would be appreciated.   I have found Maradevis that look similar but not exact.  Trying to figure out which monarch it was under and possibly mint and denomination.  Thanks all and look forward to learning more and enjoying the community.

Closest I've come so far is this Philip III but the image shown here is missing the three dots under the castle.

Welcome to Numista. Weight, diameter, and best guess at composition is always helpful in attempting to identify a coin. Not much info left on this  example so the more information you can provide the better. I altered the photos to better help in identification. I see the beginnings of Philip and  an IM or possibly JM next to the Castle  but so far I cant find a better match than you have already found as well.

Edit

Here is a 2 Maravedis Philip II with the IM initials, no date and no dots but Circa 1580-1587. Beginning to believe it is from the Philip II era,.

Thanks, my scales are packed up somewhere but will try locating them.  Yeah, it is those dots that’s throwing me.

I believe I have found a very good match.  2 Maravedis, Philip II, Segovia 1556-1571 Juan de Morales.  Your help is much appreciated, guided me where I needed to go.

Or, Ioan de Ortega - Ioan de Morales, or Miguel Villaviejo 1585.  Finding more as I go.  Found the list of mint and assayers at The Mint of Segovia (enumismatic.com)
