Thank you Matlo3.  I find the Mayan dot and bar system of numbers to be fascinating.  I did a video on these numbers that are found on Guatemalan notes.  If you go to youtube:  and then my channel @numismaticnoteswithbenjamin you can see it.  I am trying to see if some of the glyphs that appear on Honduran notes could be Mayan face glyphs that also represent numbers.

A number is written by stacking digits. Each level corresponds to a weight 20 times greater than the weight of the lower level, except for the passage from the 2nd to the 3rd level where the multiplication is only 18. Thus the value of the lowest level is multiplied by 1, of the second level by 20, of the third level by 20 × 18 = 360, of the fourth level by 400 × 18 = 7200 and so on, the value of the nth level (for n > 2) being multiplied by 20n-2 × 18.
