1965 20 Paise India Coin with a line from edge to top of lions head on obverse.

I have inherited a collection of coins and am cataloguing them. I have a 20 Paise India coin minted 1965 in Calcutta (no mint mark) but there is a distinct line on the Obverse from the edge to the head of the lion. 

No pictures seen so far of this coin show this. Is it a common default in the minting?
