

Hi. I just bought this and im struggling to see if its a contemporary counterfeit or a genuine example of a 1833 Honduras 2 Reales. As I have been made aware, there are a lot of counterfeits of 1833. As explained by NGC:
. The coin that I have does not have any visible silvering, but does not contain the typo “Provisinal” as seen here:
. However, I have also seen some examples graded as genuine with the typo. However most of the auction records note that it may have been improperly identified as genuine. I am leaning towards counterfeit, but I would like the opinion of other collectors.
