Surface oxidation without a cover

Hello, I have a jar in which I want to 1) stack a large number of cheap coins without capsules - they are so cheap that they are not worth buying. They won't come in any other packaging.

2) I'll put the more valuable coins in capsules next to them.

If those unprotected coins oxidize/corrode over time, will they release anything? I mean releasing something that would damage the more valuable coins in the capsules.

I ask because I intend to store a large number of socialist unvalued coins without capsules in that jar (it's just not worth to store them in something better like my Lindner stuff), plus a few more valuable pieces in capsules.

Why not just use two different jars, one for the cheap pieces and the other on for your incapsulated coins.
Or did I misunderstand your question?

this option isn´t suitable for me :-(

Use a vacuum pump to remove all the air in the jar then back fill with argon. No corrosion, no problem.

You over think everything way too much.  All this worry can't be good for your health.

I can send you an empty jar, free of charge, if you like.
