I wanted to know, what the letters F H mean on this coin:
N#133904

I guess F is for the ruler, Frederick I.

So I looked at other coins from the time, to find out what the H is short for and found this coin, also from Württemberg, that was minted directly after the first one:

N#133909

The coin also has a ‘H’ on it, and the description says ‘H (=Heller)’, also the denomination of the coin is a Heller.

Question:
Does this mean, that the ‘H' on the first coin is also shot for Heller? The denomination for the coin is marked as 1 Pfennig, so I guess either I am wrong, or the denomination in the entry is wrong?

N#97463

LH

N#133892

CH

Guessing. Herzog = Duke

Imperial minting standard

---

Reichstaler  (24 groschen) = 29.23gram (.889)

1⁄24 Reichstaler (1 Groschen) = 2.15gram (.500)

Drier (1⁄4 Groschen) = 0.85 gram (.312)

Pfennig (1⁄12 Groschen) = 0.34gram (.250)

No it's a Pfennig, probably a mint official we don't know anymore.

The H stands for Herzog

So in the first case indeed Friedrich Herzog.
