25 Cash Wang Mang

Just wondering if anyone can give me some ideas on this.

I believe this is a 25 cash spade coin

But the ancient writing is not quite the same. However, it looks more like the one below, but mine only have writing on one side only.

Size - 59mm

Weight - 17.65g (this looks a bit heavier)

Based on Kratzer & Fishman book “The Numismatic Legacy of Wang Mang” these so called normal issue Huo Bu spades weight between 14.6 g and 19.0 g and are 57.0-58.6 mm. My opinion is that your spade is Hartill# 9.30, with vertical line on reverse.

Thanks Ollisaarinen. Appreciate you responding to my enquiry. What I forgot to ask is that is my a genuine spade money, and if so, would it be N#58514 or N#209429 or should there be another one?

BTW, I did not buy this. It was given to me by my brother.

Based on your photo I'd say your spade coin is authentic and the correct N# would be 58514, Hartill# 9.30, because the reverse has only one vertical line.
