trying to find out exactly what it is first and any history about it before selling it, like country of origin date that kinda thing, definitely has value to the right collector
any idea what the crazy lettering is around the edges,
I can't even find country of origin
the only things I've been told is back I medieval times holes in coins were fairly common and by the effigy on coin it could be anywhere between 12th to 15th century.
anyway I will keep searching maybe one day someone might come up with it's full history haha
I see yes you are correct but if you look at my other replies there is a picture of the coin I have, you can see the shape of the coins are totally different if you look closely.
the last pi I posted wa from eBay starting bid 11.000 US
which I believe to be a scammer.
anyway I am not looking to make a dime i am looking for the history, I am not selling this coin/ token or whatever it is, this sole coin was found in a locker that my friend won I a auction, nothing fishy going on, just looking for someone that maybe knew factually what it was and yes value if it had any but unfortunately and not meaning to be disrespectful to anyone all I am getting is guesses
Neither side is showing any wear for a 500-600 year old coin. There is damage but I think it's artificial damage. That damage to the edge is in the exact same spot on your coin and the one in the facebook post (which I do believe is not a picture of yours). I still believe it a modern toy made to resemble something like this:
putting those pictures side by side, as you may tell I am not to clever with this tech stuff and also your thoughts on this coin.
just to clarif, I was very surprised to find that pic on eBay exactly like mine so after a little more research I sent an email to the curator of archeological museum in Bosnia, to my surprise I recieved a reply back telling me that the description in the eBay picture was 100% wrong and it wasn't king tvrtko 1 or any of the Bosnian nobles depicted on that coi, and that is how I know that was fake, sadly that was only info given which by the way gratefully appreciated.
it may seem like I am going to great lengths trying to get info on this coin but I'm retired and bored but I find it interesting and keeps me busy.
Just fake play money, absolutely worthless copy of a supposedly Renaissance era coin.
Wouldn't be surprised if its plastic.
Actual value - sub 1 cent.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
