Large or small 1982 lincoln cent?

1. I'm new to coin collection but this coins has me confused as to the coin being a large date or small date

 That graphic, on that page, looks like large date - where there is less 

than the width of the 2 between the number and the border.

Agree on large date.

Definitely large date. The easiest way to see the difference is to look at the shape of the 2. The large date has a straight line to connect upper and lower part, the small date has a curve in that line. This is the easiest way because you don't have to compare your coin with an other for the distance between the 2 and the rim.
