Good day,

I was checking the withdrawal date for this coin and the one of lesser value, 5 centimos. In "Gaceta de Madrid", official journal where all the monetary decrees are issued I wasn't able to find any news about those specific coins therefore I'd like to know based on which source was it decided to enter as withdrawal date February the 28th 1876. Perhaps because that is the date when Carlist army was defeated? In my opinion as these coins were not “official” but simply issued by a crown pretender it is likely were never considered of legal tender therefore no decree was needed to demonetize them, but please correct me if I'm wrong. On the other end I assume these coins were circulating far after Charles VII 's defeat as fully matching the technical details of Monetary Latin Union.

Thanks in advance, regards

Pannonicus
