What sellers or websites do you guys often visit when buying coins?  Specifically World coins. I know of some websites such as vcoins and worldcoingallery. (please dont include purely auction websites!)

On ebay enjoytreasure is a great resource.

Another very good dealer on ebay 1388andrew

NumisCorner.com is a fine business.

These dealers have proven to be reliable and prompt.

NumisCorner is a rip off for any coin worth less than £5, €5.50 as that is there lowest price - even if a coin is worth just 10 cents!

You also have to be careful of every purchase as, as far as I know, NumisCorner is open to anyone to sell on the site, they don’t actually have the coins, so one dealer might be great, another a con artist!

I once bought a coin from there and I was sent a completely different coin, different year, copper-nickel instead of silver! When I checked the purchase the description was correct but the image was a different coin, I had based my decision on the coin photographed (there were only slight differences in the descriptions of the two coins) so when I complained they refused to send the coin photographed and told me I could return the coin, which I did. Then total silence, no refund, no costs for return postage, etc, so I gave stinking review of purchase on their website to wake them up!

They were really apologetic and agreed to refund me plus postage as long as I took down my review, I agreed and received my money back, however it had been so long that I had forgotten my password to the site so didn’t remove my review - which in all honesty deserves to stay up, never ever considered buying from them again and at best use their website for examples of poorly graded coins of which about 50% are wrongly given an „estimated grade“ well above the actual grade.

But sure other people will have had better experiences from them…

I agree with King about Numistcorner being over priced. The other 2 sellers seem ok. I buy mainly off Australian sellers on ebay, some from Asia, I try not to buy from Germany as that seems to be where all the problem sellers are. India and China I have never had a problem.

No no, this place is over priced lol.

As for China on eBay look to see that they have consistent content of there selling a coin they should have others sorry nanatsu89 on eBay from China ripped me off on two coins from China they were knock off fakes and not even silver though advertised as such I got blocked by them for my negative review. However, they don't give a shot that they sold you two pretend silver coins. Then by the fact that they block they use it as a means to hide there review! If you block them on eBay as a seller I have noticed in the past the comments you leave can be swept under the rug. I sell of eBay as well have been for a long time 2014 to be exact. And I am always selling some sort of collectible. Coins cards, art and even books.

Treat Chinese sellers with reserve if they created there profile a year ago most of feedback is automated for new user on eBay.

If I were in anyone else shoes these are things I would look out for content of what being sold. Pictures of actual item not some stack where the quality is random in what you get. The downside to eBay is the sheer number of people selling. It's always a good note to save any seller you have had good positive experience with.
