Good question!
The Mylar flips are PVC free, and are accepted for long term storage of coins. However they are not 100% sealable or air tight from my experience, to then place them in PVC pages could in theory leave the coins open to any chemical reaction from the PVC. But the coins wouldn’t be in direct contact, and the slots in the PVC pages may actually help compress the Mylar flips so that they are 100% air tight… 🤔
I would say that nobody here would disagree with the idea, and that those who store coins in a similar manner haven’t had any problems over the short term. I personally don’t store my coins in either, so only have experience from dismantling others collections from PVC or flips, sometimes removing flips easily from PVC pages is a pain and I often slice the pages up with a knife, so if you are not fussed about removing the flips on a regular basis go for it.
