Why Do Pre-1763 Mexico 8 Reales Coins Have No Listed Value? [gelöst]

Hi everyone,

I was looking at a price chart for Mexico 8 Reales coins and noticed that those dated before 1763 have no listed values, while later dates do. This caught my attention because I actually own a 1761 MM Mexico 8 Reales, and I was trying to check its value but couldn’t find any pricing information in this page: 8 Reales - Charles III - Mexico – Numista

By the way, this is my first time finding this website, and I just registered my account today. Looking forward to learning more from the community!

The reason Numista has no listed values is because there are not enough members that entered their coins with values to derive a published value.

Are you talking about prices on the year lines (I use the old interface so I can't see any prices) or about the past sales results?

rsirian1 already explained why there are no prices yet on the year lines.

The reason why there are no past sales results yet for pre 1764 coins: this feature is rather new (only some years, I can't exactly remember when Numista started with this feature) so it's a work in progress and it's an immense work. Here are a few print screens of past sales results for your 1761 from Heritage Auctions (Heritage Auctions has more than 100 results for the 1761 and that's just one of the many auction houses.

I took it to mean Numista's values. This is what you can't see.

No thanks. The end of the old interface can be the end of me on Numista. I don't care about the prices.
