I've done a few Google searches but have turned up nothing, was wondering if there is someone in a german numismatic society who would be able to guide me to something, maybe not on the internet yet. Possible that it does not exist, but worth a try. Thanks in advance.

Not sure how many Mints there are / were in Germany, but there is this

only for Nuremberg. There is a long list, which is alphabetical,

for the Engraver names. Yes it is the English page, but it is

written in French [right-click and choose ‘Translate to English’] -

and dates around 1500 to 1900 or similar. Not checked.

 Maybe that helps.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

The earliest and last dates in that list, as far as I can see …

Schultes, Georg - 1515 - 1559

Balmberger. C - 1871 - 1903

That's brilliant! Thank you, I suspect there were lots of mints but what you've given me is super.

Old version of “Standard catalog of German coins” is available online. 3rd edition is available for sale and goes back to 1501 for a price.

If you have a Krause you'll find a lot of information, unfortunately not on one place but spread all over the catalog.

Here's an example:

And this one is for Reuss:

And Rostock:

Awesome many thanks to you all!
