Hello guys, need your help with this Hesse Cassel coin, the Albus 1691 doesnt have this big lion but a lion inside a shield… Any clues? Maybe a mule with the previous type? Thanks in advance!

I have a 1693, I will dig it out to see if there is a variation. Did you notice, that absolutely no one owns the 1691!.?
And that your lion is missing IVF?

The coin is not in my hands now, but there is no IVF from what I see in the photos…
The initials seem to be just ground down, there are remnants of lines at the bottom but hard to see something concrete.
Here are some different shield design on a 1691 and '93 but they also seem to use the different dies for the same year (so who knows if they just used an older die they found laying around).

So can I classify it as a mule?
Mine is within shield, but there is KM 330 which is not yet in Numista. States Lion Left without shield.
So not a Mule, always best to search SCWC or NGC first. At least we have an image to use…
