Not a bad price.

Based on the images, I don't think that it would get a straight grade though.

Looks like it is scratched on the obverse.

Just becouse I have 2 scratches i will have bo grade from ngc ???is not ms 64 i know but seriously one scratch is so big deal for 120 years old coin ???😁😁

My recommendation is not to send to NGC, but to start your own grading service N5E because you always seem to know best 😉

You don’t listen to advice, you believe what you believe and despite numerous members stating otherwise your ears are blocked. Your last post has a descriptive summary of the Sheldon scale MS 62 grade, this is for a coin that has no wear and is Mint State! Your coin is worn all over, every high point shows wear, the scratch is irrelevant because the details are lost. I’m not giving you a grade because (and as I clearly have more experience at grading than you) you will not accept my opinion on the coin (or any other members option for that matter) so it is pointless. Send it to NGC, waste your money, learn the hard way.

On the other point I was not starting an argument with out, I thought you were mature enough to take a lighthearted joke (made the more obvious with the wink emoji 😉) but clearly you are not. Don’t refer to me as Lad or tell me to Get lost, it is very rude, aggressive and childish - it also violates the Forum Policy.

Using lad or get lost is against  forum policy…You make now laugh of your self .If you dont grow enough to arguments don't start one ….Who you think you are ??? Don't you patronise  me all teach me what words I can use it…don't bother respond I'm ignoring you ….go grow up .

You know the value of the coin, and you know the cost of submitting.  Don't you have all the information you need?

For me the answer is no. .

I said I wasn’t trying to start an argument, that it was a joke with an emoji. Based on your belief of over grading coins, asking for advice and then disagreeing with said advice / opinions from other members (who are replying to help you) not to just disagree with you for the sake of it. Your original question is now irrelevant to me due to your comments. Here is the Forum Policy for you to read;

It doesn't matter. Typical of today's times. You ask nicely for advice. Everyone just tries to be smart with their nose raised but doesn't even intend to answer the question. Nobody is forcing you to reply. If you want to describe it, reply if not, don't act smart or interested. Simple.

Calm down new5elements, King was clearly just being cheeky and doing some friendly teasing. Telling him to get lost, to grow up and accusing him of being jealous is rude and unnecessary, especially after he clarified that he was joking around.

As for the screenshot you posted, are you implying that your coin is MS-62?

Professional reverse google image searcher

VF details, at best. That obverse scratch will not straight grade, too “in-your-face.” It was also harshly cleaned, for sure. The cleaning is especially obvious on the reverse. Look closely at the fields around the eagle, that’s not natural patina. Someone really got in there. The outlines around the design are a darker grey because whatever it was scrubbed with couldn’t reach the right corners. Best way to confirm it - submit and see, but I wouldn’t. $190 is a fair price, albeit not a bargain. This coin is worth more raw.

I can see you have no clue about grading …ai advise educate first before trying playing big boss you little boy

Never taking here advises ….Just idiots respond

In your face you very fine on face now for sure

Any by the way I even didn't said what garden I'm giving…I said you talk nonsense with no grade at all …..mad ppl jealous??

just because you've read a lot doesn't mean you know what you're reading and how to use it. Up until now, all you've done is act stupid and act smart. Don't start talking nonsense if you can't say anything smarter. If you know so much in such high-quality photos, you're clairvoyant. I asked in advance... I know what grade I have myself because unlike you, I know what I'm saying and doing and I have morgans, not books. The Internet as well as eyes and education

Again one more…Coins can be cleaned and even should be cleaned as long as you do not damage the mirrors. You can use acetone and NGC always cleans coins. As long as you do not damage it is not cleaned... I have a coin in front of me with 30x zoom and I know if I see any traces of cleaning or acid. There are none. So stop this pseudo knowledge because you are pathetic.

Other members advise you to not spend money on grading for this particular coin but since you're so sure they're wrong there's a simple solution: send the coins to NGC (or PCGS) and let us know the result. Then we know who's right, you are the rest. For me it's VF too but I don't know anything about grading.

Send it if you want we can't (and won't) stop you. No need to throw a hissy fit over it.

Please let's come back to using facts and information.

You can do your own research on grading (and perhaps already have) by looking at sites like CoinArchives, and of course published grading guides, as pointed out by bensonhurst.

In any of these links, you can open it and see a large, clear photo.

Since I prefer to deal in probability statements rather than absolutes when it comes to things like grading, from these photos it appears very unlikely that your coin would earn a grade in the MS range, and far more likely that it would earn a grade in the XF or VF range.

And yes, the only way to know for sure is to send it in and pay the fee. Everything else is speculation which (for better or worse) is free.
