1966 silver coin. Duke of Edinbourough & Elizabeth 11. Hunt & Foley.

I am in possession of the above coin. I am told it is rare, approx only 100 made, never circulated.

In very good condition. I am seeking information about interest in this coin and a current market value.

Assuming you mean this: N#450952 One was sold for US $18,600.00 earlier this year.  If you have one, I'd advise you to send it off gor grading and certification if you plan to sell it.

Is anyone interested in buying this coin/pattern piece?

Did you get it graded/certified? Can we see a picture?  You can’t try to sell it here. It needs to be sold by an auction house for best value.  

I have looked into getting it graded/certified but to be honest the insurance cover for it is not that great when in transit  so I do not believe it is worth the risk of sending it and losing it. So stuck in a catch 22 situation.  I do find it a bit puzzling that the only place you can get coins graded is in America. Seems to me that a significant imbalance of control ref assessment valuations exist in the world of coins/pattern pieces but as this is my first experience in operating in the world of rare and interesting coins/pattern pieces then this is my own opinion and I would not wish to offend anyone if my suspicions are seen as unjustified and alarmist by more seasoned and experienced operators.

Did you notice the link I posted to get it graded was only for coin shops located in the UK?

Yes did get post but everyone I contacted said the same thing which was I need to get it graded by NGC. Even auction houses said the same thing although I have had varying offers to buy the piece from them which ranges from 800 to 1500 pounds.
