Sweden 2 Öre 1929, long/short 9 varieties - N#4031 - KM# 778

Hi

does anyone have anymore information on the long/short 9 variety on the 1929 2 Öre.

on my three it looks like the middle one has a thicker 9 at the tail but I'm not sure whether it counts as longer?

hello,

for comparism i add a picture of 2 öre coins 1929.

The upper coin should be the short variant of 9 and your coins are the short variant/ close to the short variant.

With the long variant the end of the 9 comes almost as far as the widest point of the 9, with the short variant the end of the 9 is still far away from that point. So all the three coins of the OP are the short variant, as Stefan0205 already said.

thank you both for the help with this, it makes it much clearer now. 

I was getting myself confused with one of mine looking slightly thicker but not longer.   

could your picture with the lines be added to the catalogue page?

Of course it can, but these are Stefan0205's pictures, I only enlarged them and put them in an upright position. I let him do the honors unless he prefers I (or you) make the change request.
