On the costa rica 50 Colones 2006-2017 pages it quite obviously displays 2006, 2007, 2015 and 2017. But when you compared the 2006/2007 to the 2016/2017 the designs are different notably the denomination is in a whole other font in the newer versions and the page doesn't address this from what I can see. I hope someone can look into this and address this and fix it.

Just so others don't have to search: N#8486

Krause considers all close enough design for one reference number.

In 2012 Costa Rica changed the arms across all their coinage, and changed the shape of the denomination on several.

See World Coin News from 2015 for some denomination images.

If this had happened twenty years earlier I expect Krause would have made a .1/.2 distinction in the types, but by 2012 Krause had noticeably fewer resources maintaining the catalog.

But that doesn't really address the question in this topic as often .1/.2 differences in Krause are in the same Numista page. But it would be useful to have a mention of the arms changes in all the types affected.

It would also be useful to have the correct mint names given in the year lines.

It is the Royal Mint, not the Royal British Mint.

Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

I am marking this as solved as I believe their will be no further changes added to the page. I thank those who replied with thorough replies .
