Can anyone please assist?
Found these two 1909 King Edward VII Penny coins in part of collection, Nothing new there I'd presume? But on closer inspection one of the two has a distinctive raised dot after the '9' in the date stamp, Whichever way I angle this coin the raised dot is clearly visible.
It's not dirt/Scuff or damage as the surrounding areas of the date stamp are smooth apart from this Anomaly?
I've heard of rare raised dots occurring before the 1 or after the N and going online there are rare documented occurrences of a dot after the 9`
First image is of the no 'Dot' 1909 coin and the following two images are of the 1909 with raised dot.. l
