Hi there

 

Below the big A on this coin it has ‘LP’, which are the initials of the designer; although incorporated into the main design I think this is deliberate?

I believe you are correct. The joining of the letters seems intentional.

 

Is there an LP monogram on other coins? I took a quick look and couldn't find any.

The 2019 songs coin does have his initials as well, similar to the rest of the design - that seems to be his style!
