Possible damage to a Qianlong cash coin

I received this coin years ago among about 10 others which were definitely genuine, from varying years and varying conditions. I have since wondered why this coin looks the way it does. Could it be damage, or just fake?

Probably real, as there is no real value faking this coin, and it does not look like something for Feng Shui. Probably damage :)
