I was away for some time, due to having a baby this summer - 4th child, and re-organizing my swap content. I am by the computer most all the time, and although I did have a "bad" swap last year, I always send coins. And I have no control over the post and how they deliver. I cannot send registered mail outside the USA, it costs us in the USA 20$ to ship. I ship standard air mail, which has never had any issues, except apparently to Russian Federation. Although for other people in the world to send it to the USA registered it is cheap. So if you see something and you want to swap I am available. Thanks
Welcome back and I agree 100% with your concerns over US overseas mailing costs. We pay more to subsidise the rest of the world using formula drafted in the 1950's. During that time the standard of living elsewhere has risen while in America living standards have tanked and the events of recent years have accelerated the decline. It's time to renegotiate the deal.
I notice that you are seeking only silver and pre 1900 coins but yet the coins you are offering are neither silver or pre 1900. How's that working out for you?
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
In the USA, we take our mailing serious. In a lot of other countries they don't even have a way to track. So when we send mail with tracking, it costs a lot more cause we have to sub contract companies like fed ex or ups. It really has nothing to do with the economy. Non tracking is more like 8.88 for a small package, but that's because people like to charge us more.
When it comes to trades I have a lot more coins to add. And people don't really swap silver for non silver unless its for a lot of coins.
If you want to swap my kids lets do it, I have a 14 yr old a 3yr old a 2 yr old and a 9 mo old :)
welcome back to the world of swapping. i feel it is an addictive hobby and it is no surprise you are back. i wish you all success in your 2nd innings and happy collecting.
