Hi everyone,

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces27

Ok picked up a lot of coins and this one has me stumped, has it a cross or not. Looking at pictures  here https://en.numista.com/catalogue/past_sales.php?id=277  , I see a cross every item even if identified as without

without cross https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/belgium-2-francs-km-30.2-1866-1868-cuid-1042332-duid-1284181

the other variant  https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/belgium-2-francs-km-30.1-1866-1868-cuid-1044269-duid-1284180

Thanking you in advance.

Next is grade, VG,F OR VF

NGC AU50 - Leopold II, Cross on Crown 1867.

This one on ebay advertised as sans la Croix is it worn or the die was filled?

I am now continuing the search in French, I have yet to see one without, that looks to be worthy of the title at least, my own coin should be called  without the top part of cross.

This is without a cross, I can clearly see a cross, its not perfect, the top is somewhat stumpy the right arm thinner and not level, is this defined as '' without a cross''  ?

My own coin would fall into this category, I am stumped much like that cross.

I was pricing another lot of coins, this time an 1886 Belgian 1 Fr. N#282 the interesting bit was this

 '' KM# 28.1 = signature with dot [L. WIENER]
KM# 28.2 = signature without dot [L WIENER]

The coins with signatures without dots, mentioned by Krause, Morin and Aernout, are probably die pollution and not real varieties.''

The coins I have seen, seem to be die pollution, rather than a variant, I see a cross, might not be whole or perfectly formed but a cross none the less,

I cannot find out who first published the no cross variety, if the names mentioned above are involved then, I would have my suspicions.

I am not an expert, its just my opinion.
