RIC II 277- Domitian sestertius with princeps sacrificing- Joe Geranio photo

RIC II 277- Rome mint, sestertius at 35mm, 23.52g; lovely patina look.  Obverse shows Domitian youngest son of Vespasian and was born in the Julio Claudian dynasty on 10/24/51 AD, coin was struck 85 AD.   Obverse reads:  IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG GERM COS XI = supreme commander, Caesar, Domitian, princeps (Augustus), conquerer of the Germans, consul for the eleventh time.  Reverse Shows Domitian standing left sacrificing with patera in left hand over lit altar In front of distyle shrine with Minerva in niche.
