how can i add this coin to the catalogue?

i think the coin is not yet listed in any catalogue

Krause lists a silver pattern for this coin for the years 1833 through 1838. They don't list one for 1839. Maybe an oversight?

It might be lighting, but it does not look silvery.

I suspect that silver variant is https://numismaster.com/MC_150027

Do you have reference source which gives more details than numismaster?

This coin (proof of 1839 W (?)) is not listed in any of the catalogue i have (Moquette, Scholten, Tom Passon).

I do not have any other reference.

The design is differ from the circulated version, i.e. :

- the letter font

- “NEDER” (instead of “NEDERL.”)

- the lion design.

I have never seen this design in any circulated version of Nederl Indie coins.

This is the same coin with different lighting :

Some coins aren't listed in Krause's catalog, perhaps because they weren't discovered or known at the time. I used a more up-to-date and specific catalog like Tom Passon's (2022), but this coin aren't listed either.

I believe you're correct.

I don't get the 1790 date though.

could you help me find the details of “KM#290, 1839-40 dates”?

in the old version of the catalog, KM#111.4a is referring to 1790 VOC duit in silver

In my opinion, KM#111.4a is referring to 1790 VOC duit in silver, which the mintage number is included in KM#290 dates 1839-1840

Reference: Page from Krause catalog below :

1701-1800 First edition :

1701-1800 7th edition :

Note that the date/year is “1790”. This is in accordance with the First Edition Krause.

1801-1900 8th edition:

Note that silver cent pattern is listed up to year 1838, therefore 1839 is not yet listed
