Same design, different diameters. Why?
I’ve heard two versions:
1. 20 mm = regular token, 16 mm = service/reduced fare.
2. First they issued 20 mm, then reduced to 16 mm to save costs.
Which version is correct?
By the way, the same story exists with later Türkiye Denizcilik İşletmeleri tokens: two diameters, 22 mm and 16 mm, with identical inscriptions on both sides.
