Why is UNC showing greater value than the Proof coin?

Hi,

It's quite often the case. Could be it's harder to find an uncirculated coin than simply buy a proof one from the mint.

I personally prefer the circulating variety of a coin to its proof version.

Many people also desire real coins that were meant to circulate to numismatic products that get peddled to collectors pushing up prices of lower mintage circulation coins.
