I just bought this coin sword from a high-end auction. I'm still not sure about its authenticity, but took a gamble for a low price. Does anyone have an opinion on its authenticity or what it might be worth?

Depending on the size, coins are either:
or
These are either copies or authentic but artificially oxidized.
These fengshui coin-swords were assembled during the XIXth and XXth centuries
Thank you. I'm guessing this sword might be worth very much then?
Some coins partially cover other coins. If this assemblage was made in the early 20th century, the oxidation of the covered parts of the coins must be different from the uncovered part.
If this is not the case, it is a recent assemblage with artificially oxidized fake coins.
Feng shui virtues are not fundamentally different between recently assembled fake coins and real coins assembled during the reign of GuangXu, but the (historical and monetary) value is very different :)
Sorry. I meant to say *not* worth very much. How can you tell it's artificially oxidized? Thank you for your help. I am still learning.
You see that all coins have the same black color. It's not usual for these coins which are usually fairly well preserved.
Can you take the box apart and compare the oxidation status of the hidden parts of coins?
Yes. I pick up the item on Friday, so I'll take more photos and post them. I paid $100 as a gamble so it's no big deal if it's not worth anything. I like it regardless for that amount of money for display.
